The number one priority in training is safety. Proper selection, storage, care, handling, and operation of your firearm is critical to preventing firearm accidents. All firearms owners should regularly train (knowledge and skills) in the safety of firearms.

Mastery of the operation of your firearm includes repeatable and accurate marksmanship. But, it also involves gaining skills in the readying and other handling of the firearm up to, through, and after the shooting and at increasing speeds appropriate to intended use.

Taking firearms ownership responsibly and demonstrating the importance of doing so not only directly impacts you own safety and of those around you, but affects how others perceive, support, or even exercise the Second Amendment.

Although a fundamental liberty recognized by the United States Constitution, each Citizen who chooses to bear arms should do so safely and proficiently, and thereby contribute positively to mankind and promote an un-infringed recognition of the birthright to bear arms.
